TSDAA Homecoming News!
Oct 7th 2008AdminUncategorized
Hello Everyone…
I would like to make this announcement that TSD Homecoming went very well. Lot of people came to TSD. I was told that there were about 67 booths at the “Mall”.
There was a big white Tent next to the bleachers. Many alumni came in and made themselves cool off. It was sad that Texas School for the Deaf was lost to Maryland School for the Deaf and was unsure of the score.
Please take time to say congratulations to new elected officers: Kent Kennedy, President; Karlin Hummel, Vice-President; Sara Harris, Secretary; John Mills, Treasurer; Cathy Simerka, Board Member; Kathryn Caldleugh, Board Member; Hope Landin, Board Member; Walt Camenisch; Scholarship Chairperson; and Franna Camenisch; Curator of TSD Heritage Center (Museum).
Now I want to share the news with you about myself. I was really appreciated your support and involvement with TSDAA when we first launched TexanVRS. It did coming out a real good ones and I put a lot of effort to make this happening. It is accomplishing!
I wish I could continue but I got the job offer after applying. I was unable to run for the officer of TSDAA like I told some of you earlier that I was eager to run for it but could not do that due to the conflict of interests. I want to thank to all of you for letting me part of this and ready to go.
I will stay with the TSDAA website for a short time till the new elected officers find the replacement and I will be happy to train the new person. So things will take time. Same thing with TexanVRS Point of Contact person, it will need to be replaced.
Speaking of my new job, I will be moving to another state which would be Pennsylvania.
Once again, I want to emphasize how much I thank all of you for making this happening. Of course, I will come to visit Texas once awhile and will miss y’all. You will see the slideshows that took during TSDAA Hall of Fame, General Meeting, Celebrating 10th Anniversary and the “Mall”. Enjoy them.
Thank you and I want to yall to keep TSDAA being strong and ongoing.
Bid y’all Good bye…
Andrew….
